Siobahn Hotaling - Singer-Songwriter, Consultant, and UX Design Leader

Siobahn Hotaling began her music career at 16, performing as part of an acoustic duo. By 17, she began writing original songs. She later explored different genres, including working in electronica under the name Equipoise, before eventually returning to her roots as a singer-songwriter. In 2010, Siobahn Hotaling started writing songs that would form the basis of her debut album, Heart on Fire.

Ms. Hotaling released two EPs, Heart on Fire in 2012 and Unguarded in 2015, both available on Spotify. In 2013, she attended the NYU Summer Songwriter’s Workshop, a program led by Grammy-winning songwriter Phil Galdston and artist Maia Sharp. Her first EP was recorded and produced by Canadian producer Mike Borkosky, while she self-produced Unguarded at Canterbury Music Company.

Outside of music, Ms. Hotaling serves as a project consultant with the Adaption Institute, supporting the development of skills and growth strategies for an international client. She also serves as a user experience design leader at Global Payments, where she manages end-to-end strategy for a suite of merchant-facing payment applications.

Ms. Hotaling co-founded the New York Artists Collective, a showcase series for musicians. She and her cofounders later developed a queer-focused edition called Out and About, which featured at the Hot! Festival in 2017. She holds a bachelor’s degree in creative writing/poetry from Skidmore College and continues to pursue poetry and songwriting.
